Project Overview

National Geographic wanted to run a competition around marine protection. Specifically looking for solutions to detect illegal fishing in near coastal communities. We worked with subject matter experts to make sure the content and imagery was accurate.

It was also important for the look, feel, and experience on the site to be an extension of their parent site and brand. It had to look and feel like National Geographic.


In order to align myself with National Geographic's brand standards, I had to meet with multiple directors within the organization and work closely with them to make sure my design was meeting their standards.

Unique Opportunities

One of the joy's of this project was having NatGeo's library of images and video. It was an awesome opportunity to use it as a backdrop to the design.
